The Green Sentinel (Zöld Őrszem), Debrecen Environmental Monitoring System (KER), is committed to providing the public with accurate and reliable environmental monitoring data on a continuous basis.
To ensure the long-term accuracy and reliability of noise measurements, the Department of Metrology and Technical Supervision of the Government Office of the Capital City Budapest is carrying out periodic metrological verification of SVANTEK noise monitoring instruments at two monitoring stations of the Debrecen Environmental Monitoring System (KER14 – Mikepércs, Rózsás Street; KER07 – Debrecen, 55/F Szávay Gyula Street, Nursing Home).
The instruments must be temporarily removed from their monitoring stations to undergo the required verification procedures. During this process, the noise monitoring equipment will be tested to ensure compliance with the applicable metrological requirements, thereby maintaining the accuracy and reliability of the noise level data collected.
In addition to the noise monitoring instruments, the system's acoustic calibrator, used for on-site checks, will also undergo verification. This device plays an important role in regularly checking the accuracy of noise measurements.
The entire process is expected to take approximately two weeks. During this period, noise monitoring data from the two affected stations will be temporarily unavailable. Data collection for all other environmental monitoring parameters will remain unaffected. Once the verification procedures have been completed and the instruments have been reinstalled, noise monitoring will resume at both stations.
